Answering years of prayer, Associate Pastors Jorge Cifuentes and his wife Evelyn Bailey have joined our staff as Associate Pastors, Hispanic. We welcome their expertise from over twenty years of bringing the Hispanic community to Christ and to the Church of the Nazarene. Please pray for them as they work in this outpouring of our love for our neighborhood. They are fulfilling the vision started by Lifted Cup, here in Avon Park and also in the Heartland Mission Area in Arcadia, Avon Park, Lake Placid, Okeechobee, and Sebring, (Highlands, Hardee and DeSoto counties). Yes, we are praying for a church plant in Hardee County.
We have much to pray for in this ministry. Even as we plan to sponsor English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, we also hope to have classes in Spanish as a Second Language for our congregation. We are a welcoming church and look forward to our new ministry.
